Spiritual Coaching and Mindfulness

Coaching, in many respects, was something I noticed I was offering within my readings as well as my Reiki sessions over time and completely naturally. It was also something I observed slowly developing while practicing EFT tapping on clients and working very closely with people. People were getting so much more from me than just a reading, I knew! A reading yes, but a reading and more!

Mindfulness, additionally, was something I had been gradually integrating into my own life for many, many years. The deeper I went into presence and my own mindful state, the more spiritually connected I began to feel, and the more I seemed to have to offer people. The more impact I seemed to make in the lives of others!

I studied Neurolinguistic Programming in 2024 which I found fascinating and then in early 2025 after over 18 months training, which ‘got me the additional t-shirt’ so to speak.

Mindfulness coaching, together with an NLP Practitioner Diploma, and all my spiritually based practices and my own journey, gave me all the tools I needed to finally embrace that part of myself that felt so impossibly drawn to help people when they were down, or confused or in need of change or connection. Not only that, but I could also help them see the path forward in faith, love, and personal growth.

What is mindfulness and how can it help?

Mindfulness is a practice that allows you to be ‘in the present moment’. It allows a person to be in touch with the here and now and to be grounded into the aliveness of their body. When we feel grounded and more present, we not only feel more alive, but we feel more peaceful and calm.

Mindfulness allows someone to become in touch with their thoughts and feelings. To notice them through increased awareness.  It allows thoughts and feelings to come to the metaphoric table during a session, without judgment. Sometimes these thoughts and feelings are uncomfortable ones, but mindfulness allows us to truly see them for what they are-just thoughts and feelings!! Without mindfulness, we lose the distinction between our thoughts and feelings and ourselves, presuming they are one of the same! And this belief can often create further negative thoughts and feelings which we begin to feel is ‘who we are!’

My coaching model challenges all of this through the use of metaphor, coaching tools, EFT and powerful questions. It forms new self awareness and personal growth. It creates ‘space’ for thoughts and feelings to exist without judgment and it is through this place, that we heal and move onwards!

The mindfulness in coaching, allows people to use their intuition and connections to find their own answers! For we always have the answers and it is just my job to remind you of that through the stillness of mindful prescence.

Integrating with EFT

Because of my EFT practitioner status, when I feel EFT needs to be incorporated into a session, I use it and sometimes it helps enormously to overcome blocks. I also have my basic counselling skills so everything combines together to create a very unique experience.

Where I can appreciate that different modalities suit different people, and I can separate both the coach and the EFt very easily, a mix of both during sessions seems to work well as it allows for a more flexible approach, not only for client preference and personality, but also varying client needs.

Sometimes sessions start with a more EFT-based beginning, only to evolve over time as the relationship strengthens and blocks are shifted, to a more forward-focused coaching session. This feels organic and gentle in its nature, and clients seem to blossom within this environment.

A Spiritual Emphasis

A session with me can comprise anything from tapping, to breathing and meditation, to grounding and body awareness to NLP and other coaching techniques, to thought-provoking questions to forward-focused planning. And a client rarely leaves without some kind of homework for the week! But this is always the kind of homework that they want to do!

I work very strongly with my own intuition and my guides as well as over 12 years of experience working closely with people. I use my strong connections to the universe and all my heart-based energy with every session that occurs. These sessions thrive on relationships forged of mutual respect and fondness, and I’m gaining new clients all the time who say they feel ‘drawn’ to me!

To sum up, together we challenge false beliefs and sabotaging behaviours. Together, we look at what a client wants for yourself and needs for themselves. We work on long term goals and people are held accountable by touching base with me regularly, which ensures their progress.

 

Clients are encouraged to work with their intuition and subconscious mind to answer their own questions and see their own solutions. To strive and ask for more for themselves. To connect better to their own soul truth and their own divinity.

 

I have a wealth of tools that I like to bring into the mindfulness coaching session and these can be anything from various coaching card decks to crystals to affirmations, and clients are invited to choose intuitively. They are then asked questions of relevance to what has been picked to encourage them to find the answers themselves! Again, they may be using their own intuition, thoughts or feelings, their subconscious mind, their own connections to spirit, or connections to the universe, their guides, angels, God or whatever modality suits them. It is all beautifully held, supported and encouraged within my little room and clients love working in this way.

 

My sessions work within a very high ‘love-based’ energy to teach self-love and compassion in all its many forms, components and dimensions. This can be felt by many in session and it’s why people come back! The energy within the room is often palpable!

Love is the greatest and most profound healer known to man, and is accessible to ALL.

What can my coaching model help with?

While EFT can help with many of the more emotional components of a session, the coaching elements focus on bringing more mindful prescence into a session and in so doing, have a more positive, futuristic and forward focussed emphasis.
