I frequently use crystal placements along your main chakra centres and intuitively touch base with the energy of your body. This will help me to detect any subtle imbalances within the body or aura, in order to help better balance your energy. Reiki energy can feel like heat for some, or coolness within the hand. Some clients have told me they’ve felt and sometimes heard a buzz, static, vibration or a whooshing sound coming into my hands. Sometimes they feel it in the area that’s being worked on. Occasionally, clients see images or colours in their mind’s eye and more often than not, they feel very deeply relaxed and comforted. Reiki should enable you to feel very held, while you allow yourself to relax into the deep space of healing. 

As with other complementary therapies, sometimes the reiki can bring about a form of short term healing crisis. This could be anything from feeling a bit emotional and teary, to lethargy, to needing the toilet more, or a headache. These feelings are all normal and should pass quickly. They just signify to us that the reiki has done it’s work.

During a reiki session, I like to use my deep emotional intuitive ability, together with the help of my guides, to ‘tune in’ and feel the energy of the body. I will often try to balance various areas if imbalance when I accounter them and use my knowledge of auras and chakras to do this. I always report back any findings to my client at the end of session
